HOW LONG DOES A REPAIR TAKE?

Given that Vintronic is run as a sideline and given the particularly high demand for quality repairs, the repair times are sometimes longer than we would like (several weeks). We will of course keep you informed of every development in the trajectory of your beloved device.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REPAIR AND AN OVERHAUL?

In the case of a repair, only the defect that occurred at that moment is remedied. In the case of a complete overhaul, we look much further than that and try to restore your device to factory condition. In the case of a repair, you only receive a guarantee on the same fault with the same cause, while in the case of a complete overhaul, you receive a guarantee on the entire device (except for parts that are susceptible to wear and tear, such as record player needles, tape recorder heads or cassette decks, CD lasers, lights, etc.). It goes without saying that a repair is usually much cheaper than a complete overhaul. Of course we can advise you on which choice you should make.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Unfortunately, we can only say something sensible about this when the device is on the workbench. We always draw up a quote without obligation and free of charge. You can then decide whether or not to accept this quote. If we nevertheless find more defects than initially estimated and unexpectedly have to deviate from the quoted price, we will of course inform you of this. In the rare case that it gradually becomes apparent that your device is irreparable, the hours and parts already worked will be charged.
